Geometry 10/1 - 10/5
Geometry students,
Please remember to get your homework quiz signed by a parent for next class. Their signature on your homework quiz is worth 5 points. Remember to always write the original problem, show your work, and have the correct final answer in your nightly homework. If you do that on your homework, you will do great on your homework quizzes. Until then, you scores will be less than satisfactory.
This week, we have a quiz on Monday Oct. 1. ALSO, please update your stamp sheet due dates. Change the Quiz and 2-5 from 10/3 to 10/1...and then fill the remaining dates accordingly. The test will be on 10/9.
Thanks and have a great week! --Mr. Hanson

Geometry 9/24 - 9/28
Math scholars, can you believe it? We are already starting our 4th week of school! As of Friday, 9/21/07, you have received your first grade update via Edline. Not to mention, we have already completed chapter 1.
Chapter 2 takes us into the uses of language and logic in geometry. Conditionals (if-then statements), converses, unions/intersections, and the need for definitions just to name a few headliners.
I have also posted a link to a video I would like everyone to watch, if you have not already seen it. It is is called, "Did you know 2.0." It is the top video in my list on the right side of my blog.
Have a great week! - Mr. Hanson

Geometry 9/17 - 9/21
Geometry students,
As we begin our third week of class, I want to extend my appreciation for a great start to the school year in all of my classes. I expect standard to be continued throughout the year and I believe that you, my students, strive for success academically and socially in my classroom and life.
This week in algebra brings you your first test. Chapter 1 Test is at the end of the week. (Remember, for exact dates, please check your stamp sheet or Edine). Be sure to complete the study guide (located on Edline) and Progress Self-Test (PST) to ensure your best chance of success on the chapter 1 test. Also, remember that no missing work can be turned in from chapter 1 after we complete the chapter. If you having missing work, be sure you have it with you on the day of the test to get half credit for it.
Thanks all for now. Have a great week!
